What is needed?
Dodge 8HP70 or 8HP45 transmission
2JZ to 8HP Adapter plate kit
Modified Motor mounts (see below for details)
A transmission controller (Turbolamik, MaxxECU)
Transmission Mount
Driveshaft
Oil Cooler
Shift Selector (Different options available here depending on the look you want).
Optional:
Clutch position sensor and clutch simulator

- Transmission tunnel -
The transmission tunnel on the Lexus IS300 is a bit tight around the firewall area.
The solution we found is to move the engine around 5/8 inches forward and this help a lot for tunnel clearance.
We designed custom motor mount to make this easy.
This way the tunnel modification stays minimal and the transmission is easy to install.
Please note that if this solution is choose, the downpipe, intercooler piping
Important: The transmission must be "shaved" like this before installation:
Note: It’s also possible to use the Dodge 8HP45 transmission from V6-equipped models. However, this option is not recommended for applications over 500 WHP.
