Choose your MaxxECU setup

Keep your current engine ECU with our MINI 8HP kit and harness, or choose TRACK or RACE GEN2 for complete engine and supported GEN1 transmission control.

GEN2 ECU does not mean GEN2 transmission. TRACK GEN2 and RACE GEN2 can control a supported GEN1 8HP45/70/90. GEN2 8HP50/75 and GEN3 8HP51/76 require a separate transmission-control plan.

MaxxECU GEN2 RACE

Choose RACE when the build needs more cylinders, staged injection, additional sensors or greater output capacity.

  • Up to 12 cylinders fully sequentially
  • 16 injector and 12 ignition outputs
  • 24 analog inputs, 8 Type-K EGT inputs and dual CAN
  • Dual wideband and dual knock inputs; 16 GB logging

All three setups require an application-specific integration and calibration plan. Confirm donor compatibility and TCU firmware before ordering. MINI includes our transmission harness; TRACK/RACE install kits include engine-side flying-lead wiring. Any additional shifter or transmission wiring must be matched to the selected package.

Before you order

Does MaxxECU control every 8HP?

No. Direct 8HP control is for supported GEN1 8HP45/70/90 transmissions. The donor, TCU preparation and wiring still need checking. Use our controller guide for other transmission generations.

Can I keep my engine ECU?

Our MINI 8HP kit includes a MaxxECU MINI, Perfect Tuning 6 ft transmission harness and basic startup tune for a compatible GEN1 application. Required engine signals and torque-reduction integration must still be planned for the engine ECU in your car.

What should I send for a recommendation?

Your vehicle and engine, current ECU, transmission model and donor, shifter, power goal, and a list of the parts you already own. Transmission photos and identification markings help.

Can I order an ECU from outside Canada or the USA?

MaxxECU ECU orders delivered outside Canada and the United States require review. Contact us before ordering so we can discuss the appropriate supply arrangement for your location.
