A division of Perfect Tuning
About 8HPTheWorld
We develop the parts, wiring and knowledge that turn a ZF 8HP donor transmission into a complete, supported swap.
Built from a real 2JZ 8HP project
8HPTheWorld began when the Perfect Tuning team installed a Dodge 8HP70 behind a 2JZ in a Toyota Mark II JZX90. The project exposed the same problems every builder faces: adapter serviceability, transmission mounting, driveshaft design, controller communication, shifter logic and calibration.
Instead of treating those challenges as one-off fabrication, we developed repeatable solutions. That first car was tested on the dyno, at the track and on a 10,000 km road trip from Quebec to the Grand Canyon. The experience became the foundation for our Supra MKIV, Lexus SC300, IS300, GS300 and custom swap products.
Engineer the Mechanical Package
Adapters, flexplates, mounts, output solutions, driveshafts, oil pans, cooling and chassis fitment.
Integrate the Electronics
MaxxECU and TurboLamik planning, valve-body services, harnesses, shifters, CAN communication and calibration.
Support the Complete Build
Transmission identification, project review, Canadian parts supply and technical support before and after the sale.
Why specialization matters
The model number alone does not define an 8HP swap. GEN1, GEN2 and GEN3 electronics differ. BMW, Dodge, Jaguar and Land Rover donors use different hardware. RWD and AWD outputs change the driveshaft plan. Controller choice can require flashing or valve-body changes.
Our job is to connect those decisions before parts are ordered. That is how we help builders avoid incompatible adapters, wrong donors and unfinished projects.
Quebec roots, worldwide 8HP projects
8HPTheWorld is operated by Perfect Tuning in Sherbrooke, Quebec. We serve customers in English and French, price our Canadian store in CAD and ship across Canada and internationally.
Whether you are building a street Supra, a drift JZX, an LS-powered muscle car or a custom platform, send the exact chassis, engine, transmission and goal. If a proven solution exists, we will help you find it. If the project is new, we will tell you what must be engineered.
